Review of Online shopping: 12 Things I don't like about Shopping with Jabong

I love the Jabong website for the variety of clothing products they offer. The fact that they keep on introducing new and International brands to their virtual shelves, keeps me hooked to them.

My first shopping experience with Jabong was awesome too and it made me change my perspective through buying clothes online and also shed my inhibition in doing so. Yes, they have a very helpful, supportive and responsive customer service as well. And I bought a pair of Puma shoes and Sandals, online from them as well.

In due course of time, I became a mature online buyer. You may read- well experienced and demanding. Demanding in sense, that I want a good value of my money and time that I spent at their website. Along came Flipkart and my shopping with Jabong took a backseat.

Recently I revisited Jabong website to buy some new stuff. Unfortunately, my experience was not as good and I ended up returning the entire stuff back.

Here's what I ordered an "Abhishti Blue Sleeve Embroidered Kurti and Lara Karen Black Full sleeve high Low hem Georgette shirt with mandarin collar [Phew]

While the Mandarin Collar shirt was still decent enough [ the fabric was really cheap], the Blue embroidered Kurti was actually green and made of cheaper materials. It was delivered after weeks of placing the order and was as good that post one wash, you can use it as "washcloth" for mopping your kitchen floor. Yes, true it is. And with that, began a twirl-wind drive to return it back and claim refunds. The fact that it was purchased using a voucher and cash partially, made it even tougher.

The 12 things that I did not like about Shopping clothes online with Jabong [and some holds true for Flipkart and some other online e-commerce portal too]

1) You cannot try the cloth to see the size, the look and most importantly, the real fabric on you unless it is delivered to you.

2) They do not have an easy "Return" menu. One has to write to their customer care.

3) Multiple calls from customer Care starting from 9:00 am in the morning

4) Long and uncertain Delivery time

5) Too busy a delivery boy to ring the bell twice

6) Complicated "Return and refund" process. The details do not reflect on the website but you have to rely on the multiple emails they send

7) You can use the only voucher at time Honey!

8) The site does not have any functional "Favorite" or "Save it for later" or add to wishlist" button for stuff you liked but want to park for shopping another day.

9) Empty Tabs

10) The surf, book, receive, the return is a very time-consuming process

11) You cannot buy for instant delivery. Even though you request them giving some urgency for a particular stuff in the cart, expect it to be the last one to reach you. NO "one day delivery" like Flipkart

12) Bad Packaging

Dear Jabong.com, having said all of the above, I still like to shop with you, provided you heed y points and take them not as a complaint but an "Opportunity for Improvement". Competition is rising and new players are entering every single day. Trust me, you will become one of the most loved sites. You still are quite loved online portal. Maybe doing the above changes help us improve our shopping experience.

PS: As I write this, I have already placed two orders with Jabong.com for a sexy liebemode shirt that I wish[ed] to wear for Lakme Fashion Week tomorrow.

Having said, I must accord that Jabong Customer Service is one of the brilliant team among the different portals that I have shopped online from including 10kya.com. Hey, 10kya.com rings a bell? Well, wait for the website review of 10kya.com coming on HauteKutir, soon. Also, there might be a giveaway. So stay tuned and add www.hautekutir.com in to your surfing list. Interesting things ahead.

Event: A Date with New Renault Duster #DusterAWD at Lavassa

We just celebrated our 65th year of Independence on 15th August. How did you celebrate your Independence Day this year? Clubbing? partying? Watching Parades? Weekend drive? In Traffic Jam? Preparing for Lakme Fashion Week? Watching Trailer of Shah Rukh Khan starer HNY? Taking a day off? Well, I celebrated my independence day doing none of them either yet all of them. Confused? Silly me.

Here's how I celebrated my Independence Day this year. I did-

1) Drifting and mud splash
2) Steep climbing the hills and crossing deep water beds
3) Sharp cliff climbing with Mud Splash
4) Taking a Long drive to Mumbai- Pune- Lavassa and back
5) Chilling with some awesome bloggers and social influencers across the cities
6) Test driving a yet to be launch Car, that is #NotJustACar
7) Enjoying the hospitality of Marriott and ITC Fortune
8) Driving on the smooth-uneven-steep roads of Lavassa
9) Photo clicking
10) Reviewing a yet to be launched car with a team of specialist in an exclusive Convo
11) Leading the Convo with the leadership team and other drivers

I am sure that point no 1) 2) 3) 4) and 10) would have made you take over your seat and eyeballs rolling with curiosity. Here we go.

Bhaag Duster Bhaag!

The Convo on the move

PS: Pictures in the blog is from multiple sources including my own camera, from Rutavi AKA Photokatha, blogadda Pictures, and Renault website.

About Duster AWD 4X4
The new Renault Duster AWD as the name suggests is an "All-wheel Drive" car with power to drive on all the four wheels, contrary to the standard "front- two wheel" set up. It comes up with 108.5 BHP 1.5-liter diesel motor with an all-new soft-touch dashboard, an all-new instrument cluster with a multi-information display, three-spoke steering wheel, and new fabric upholstery.

Duster ever since it's launch has turned a new leaf for Renault that went all solo in India some 3 years back. With its interesting concept of being a compact SUV with interesting features, price point, customers could not keep their hands or feet off, trying and buying the new Duster as they did with the previous variant of this sturdy car. If experts are to be believed, this car makes for great recommendations for different car rallies that take place in the country.

First up, the AWD. Unlike the traditional 4x4 mechanism, there isn’t an option of engaging the 6-speed gearbox into low-range, instead, you get an electronically controlled AWD system that could be engaged on-the-fly with the help of a knob. You could slot it in permanent 2WD mode for your regular urban commute where it works like an ordinary front-wheel driven Duster, or switch to Lock mode, wherein the torque is equally distributed to all four wheels for better traction on tricky situations. This mode can be accessed till the speed of 60kph, after which it automatically switches to Auto mode. Renault has full faith in its AWD system and suggests we switch to Auto when venturing out in the wild as the electronics, when left alone, can do a better job on its own.
as quoted from Top gear
My Overall experience-
With the look of my ear to ear smiles, I guess you would have read my experience. Yes, it was indeed good. Ever since the Renault Duster was launched in India, it's design inspired me. I always nudged my fiancee to see if an ATS is available in Duster, we must contemplate a buy. I guess after BMW, it was one car that I was very sure about :)

Thanks to the ever supportive and effervescent team of Blogadda and Renault, I could take a drive in this upcoming car. It has strengthened my good opinion about the model and I would definitely recommend people in my circle, and readers to try this car once. Rest as they say- The machine speaks for itself!

NOTD: Maybelline Color Show - Red Carpet

I am not a regular nail paint wearer and my last obsession with nail paints ended a decade back. Given the busy schedules and my unfriendly nail ways, I have stayed away from nail paints for a long time. Until recently, when Maybelline decided to color my nail world with the launch of their new range "Color show". It made all the difference :)

I normally stick to my "french manicure" and nude, natural shades. Off late, I am being obsessed with the Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania. The range has around 8 shades of glitter adorn colors with sand like texture and some plain glossy finish in the rand of INR Rs 125 each.

I got married recently and these colors came in handy while planning my bridal attire and other wedding functions. The color looked really cool with my pink outfit.

I have three shades of them and here I shall be showcasing one of my favorite and oft wear shade here- Red Carpet. Surprisingly, it dries pretty fast and is quite chip free. Whoa, what more can I want? Umm more colors maybe? more colors Maybelline.

Here are some clicks with my nails on "red Carpet" from the Glitter mania-

One coat gives a good finish.

Here's what I liked about them-
1) Easy to apply and dry
2) super finish
3) Easy to remove- leaves no stains
4) Economical
5) Handy and well packed

Go ahead and say yes to Maybelline and Color your world, oops "Color Show" your world!
