Mothers Day Special: Unboxing & Review of My Envy Box May 2017

Happiness is receiving your new beauty subscription box!

An immature conversation [read public display of looser's complex] by a fellow blogger last week left me in bad taste. 

I was confused whether to take it to the heart or laugh it off, I heard a bell ring. It was my doorbell 😂

I jumped open to find the courier person standing with a white packet in hand. It was a no-brainer to recognise the box- It ought to be My Envy Box. 

The delivery person handed me the box with his electronic signature device wherein he modestly rated himself 1 star out of 5. I took the device [whatever you may call it], ranked him 5 stars [off course the box came packed in mint condition], signed and handed it back. I wish I have taken the photo of that happy, toothy smile he gave me. Chalo, after unknowingly making a gossiping aunty's day who cannot compete with me, I happily made the day for a humble courier person, working hard in such sultry summers, executing their thankless jobs.

Time to unbox my monthly MEB box. Woohoo!

What is an MEB box

My Envy Box or MEB box is a monthly beauty subscription box that you can subscribe for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months to 1-year basis. The box essentially contains some premium beauty, skin care, hair and makeup products curated basis a new theme every month. The theme for this month was- Sip of Summer.

1) Nature's Co. Mango Creme Body Wash (175 ml @ Rs.695)

2) Fuschia Herbal Fusion Handmade Shampoo (100 ml @ Rs.450/)

3) Cheryl’s Dermashade Sunblock SPF 30 (50g @ Rs.550)

4) Grecobe Green Coffee (5 sachets @ Rs.70)

5) Omorfee Mellow Drizzle Skin Toner (2 ampules X 4ml)

6) L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (1 use Sachet)

7) L'Occitane Reine Blanche Whitening Cream and Serum (1 use Sachets)

Overall, it is an interesting box laden with all skin/hair care products to suit your summer extravaganza.

What I liked about this box

1) Vast range of products 💖

2) Decent sizes of products like body wash, sunscreen and handmade shampoo

3) No typical drugstore brands like their contemporary The Fabbag is sending Veet in their May 2017 Beauty Subscription box

4) Good and well-known brands

5) Value for money💰: The MRP of the box is Rs 850 and the collaborative cost of 4 out of 8 products from the box is Rs 1700 plus. 

6) Interesting theme and design 🍉🍉

7) well-wrapped liquid bottles, zero spillage

8) Well informed delivery. You get an SMS in the morning advising you about the probable delivery on the same day. 

What could have been better

1) The Sachets sizes esp the size of the Toner Samples should have been bigger/singular, wherein they could have reduced the size of shower creme to balance the cost of procurement.

2) It is not a setback but I would have loved if they included a funky colour nail paint to jazz up the theme, ensuring wide coverage from hair to body to face to nails. 💅
