My First Impression & Review of New MyGlamm Makeup

Women and Makeup Story

Holla all you lovely girls and women out there!

Especially the ones who love makeup and is on the lookout for new references.

I know how a lot of us hate experimenting with makeup. It is expensive, time-consuming and puts your skin at the risk as well. That is the reason I love sticking to a brand, but the beauty blogger in me must try new range and experiment as well.

Precisely the reason why I tried the all new cosmetic range from- MyGlamm, a brand that was earlier known for providing bespoke beauty service at your doorstep.

The company had recently undergone a brand/service upheaval and come up with a whole new range of makeup which they claim to be enriched with Argan Oil and serve multi-purpose. I attended their blogger's event wherein they had a makeup masterclass with ace makeup artist Cory Walia. [Detailed updates on my Snapchat/ Instagram Stories] [Follow me on Instagram]

My First Impressions Using MyGlamm Makeup

Here are the few products that I have tried and reviewed on my YouTube Channel. The products were handed during the blogger's event but the post is not a sponsored one.

I have unboxed and tried these products on my candid camera. Do check it out here or on my YouTube Channel.

So, well those were my first impressions. Over the period, I have tried the products on the repeated basis and here is my review on each of them including my favorites.

1) Beauty Blender Tool

I like the concept and the form factor. It is an ok to use a product with good finishing touches. You need to use it with a light hand while firmly holding the stem. The product cost at Rs 900 is on a higher side though and unless for an aesthetic value, I may prefer going for something Real technique or any other variant as available in market at a better pricing.

1) 5 in 1 Makeover FF Cream

This one is my most favorite of the lot. I am always in for compact and all in one factor and liked this one as it has primer + Foundation + Corrector + Concealer at one place, in a neat compact form with wide glasses. That is the biggest plus point

Talking about performance- The foundation cum primer is good for regular wear but has a tendency to make your face look greasy post an hour of application. So you need to apply a good compact post the usage. The corrector is beautiful but the concealer could have been better. Another thing that was amiss was a good travel size brush in-built in the box, so you can easily use it on the go without wondering about the sanity of using your hands.

The palette comes in three shades, I have chosen the medium one.

This product is good for regular/ casual wear. At Rs 1400+ it is a good option

3) Color Fusion Pumping Lipstick and Pumping Lipgloss

Again, I liked the form factor. The pigmentation is decent and the staying power is good until 2 hours assuming you are not eating, drinking in the meantime.

4) Long-lasting Nail Enamel Duo

Again, 10 out of 10 for the concept. 6/10 for the pricing but 5/10 for the final finish. The shade I have used has a lovely electric blue color but the finishing could have been better.

The scope of the Review: The review and impressions are limited to the above 4 products that I have tried.

What I Liked About the Range So Far

I have compiled this basis the experience thus far. It may vary or differ with different products and different users.

1) Form factor- Compact and Good Finish
2) Competitive pricing
3) Multi-Utility
4) White & Gold Packaging

Do I recommend this?
Well, I would not be highly recommending but would rather suggest you to try before you buy. do try the Total Makeover cream

My Overall rating: 6.5/10

Let me know if you have tried this range and what is your experience thus far.

My Envy Box | December 2017

What: Monthly Beauty Subscription Box
Brand: My Envy Box
Edition: December 2017
MRP: Rs 850

Products Inside This Month's Box

1) Bell Vosta Lip Gloss
Full-Size Product @ Rs 599

It is a nice, well-pigmented red. There are 4 different colors in the range that you can expect in your box. [only one shade per box]

2) Bell Vosta Lip Liner
Full-Size Product @ Rs 549
Shade: Inflamed

I love lip-liners and MEB had always packed some interesting lip-liners for me in their boxes. This is one is another beautiful liner, with a creamy finish. Like the lip gloss, you can expect anyone from the 4 different shades from this range.

3) Votre 5in1 Skin Perfecting Cream
Full-Size Product @ Rs 585
It is a small 30 gm bottle that has an interesting white, soft cream that is gentle to use and absorbs quickly. Looks like one interesting product that offers 5 benefits including moisturizing, anti-aging and complexion clearing.

4) Vert Gold Highlighter Powder
Full-Size Product @ Rs 1295

The product promises to have a mineralized, soft finish with the benefit of Turmeric. It came inside a round bottle in a powder form, I was very excited to try this product but my first impression is not as great and maybe I need to try this one again, both on- Makeup as well no makeup face, in natural light.

Value For Money

For the MRP of Rs 850 the box contains full-size products worth Rs 3000 which is indeed a value for money! If you go for higher monthly subscription plans, you may get overall benefit in subscription cost as well. You can book your box from MY Envy Box website.

Haute Kutir Verdict: I liked the overall box but was missing the usual enthusiasm surrounded across the MEB especially for a month like December. When it comes to innovative packaging and product range, Envy box had always led the field. One thing that I did not like in this box is getting an all red shade. Though the products this month are good, I wish if we had given the choice to select the shades for the lip products. I would have gone for shades other than red for a change. Nevertheless, you can try suggesting the shade of your choice while booking your box.

Overall, the box was a good one.

Book Direct Event at The Leela Mumbai #getMORE

Celebrating Book Direct To #getMORE

The Leela Mumbai knows how to delight their customers, and the Luxury Sweepstakes ‘Book Direct and #getMORE’ promotion is another feather in their hat where they announced the winners at a sparkling evening at their beautiful property in Mumbai.

In hospitality, every customer loves to be pleasantly surprised. Their joy knows no bounds when that surprise is a superb prize, a reward for their patronage, something to cherish forever. That’s what The Leela counted on when it announced its Luxury Sweepstakes offer on bookings a few months ago.

The Luxury Sweepstakes by The Leela, Mumbai

The Luxury Sweepstakes was a limited period offer opened to all those bookings stays at any of The Leela properties for a limited time. It also included the ‘Book Direct and #getMORE’ promotion. The promotion accorded a chance for customers to win fabulous prizes by booking themselves online into any of The Leela’s nine properties under the ‘Restricted Rate’ option. The promotion not just provided them the lowest rates of booking online, but their booking(s) also qualified them for a chance to win exciting prizes.
The over 100 prizes being offered included premium Nexa cars, holidays in international locations, exclusive watches by Daniel Wellington, clothing vouchers by AMPM, Isharya Fashion Jewellery and gift vouchers from The Leela. Customers responded well to the promotion, and scores of them became proud winners of these delightful prizes, in an engaging, fun evening.

The ‘Book Direct and #getMORE’ award ceremony was a glittering evening hosted by The Leela Mumbai Hotel, where a round of fun and games preceded the announcement of prize winners. The attendees had a great time playing indoor fun games like Riff-raff, words on the street, sinking the putt, indoor cricket, mini basketball, card games and housie (where the lucky winners were offered the chance to stay at The Leela Palace Udaipur).

I was glad to be a part of this event wherein I could see and even meet different guests from the hotel who thoroughly enjoyed the good evening with a wonderful spectrum of highly engaging games, food, and cocktails.

It was a very simple yet beautiful setup wherein we needed to give 5-10 random numbers while entering the venue. The numbers were later used for a fun-filled, on ground Tambola activity, followed by the announcement of the winners. Excitement ran high as the names of the prize winners were displayed and called out. And why not? There were multiple winners including two who get to take a brand new Nexa cars home. They were: Mr. Abhinav Goyal and Mrs. Gero Chaudhary.
There were also some Grand Bumper winners who scored international holidays.
