It is festival time! With so many big occasions like Navratri, Diwali, Id, and others coming up, it is that time of the year when we all love to deck up and look/feel good.
Due to the pandemic, it has become very difficult for us to venture out and shop. And I think it is better not to venture out especially in the crowded market as you can get all the items at the comfort of your doorstep. While I understand is difficult to order make-up and beauty products online, and that is the reason why I have compost this Block and a video to share and suggest all the different beauty make-up, Skincare, Jewellery, and other items that I have purchased online.
Online shopping is quite common and one of my favorite websites from where I do a maximum of my shopping is Amazon.
Generally available household items and fewer make-up products but this time I thought of giving a good try and bought some make-up items including foundation, eyeshadow palette, and even some chunky jewelry.
I just cannot wait to show you all. I have already compiled the entire shopping Haul in a YouTube video and shared it with you all. In case, if you have missed this video are you have not subscribed to me on YouTube yet. I am sharing this info here so that it can reach out to all of you.

While there are so many other beauty/makeup haul videos on YouTube, you may ask what is so special about this video. According to me, the USP of this video is that all the products use in this video are from a mixed bag of brands. When I see a mixed bag of brands, what I mean is that's some brands are well known and some brands might be lesser-known but some of the products are making quite some waves in the beauty market and among the viewers and users. For example, I have tried a foundation from my brand-new brand call inside cosmetics. And assured that I have chosen is pure bases the online graphic representation. Now that is quite a leap of faith but given the low value let me say affordable pricing, it seems to be a decent risk.

Makeup Palettes are one of the fast-moving products simply because of the concept of having boxed multiple products into one and the ease of caring and usage. I am a big fan of makeup palettes and I always prefer them over individual units. Carrying makeup palettes especially the compact ones it's quite easy for daily and for travel purposes. The best part is you don't have to search for different products in your bag while doing the makeup. So every time I see or find an interesting makeup palette over individual units, my preference is to select the makeup palette first.
And that is the reason why I paint picked this yet another but very interesting contouring palate called chisel it from one of my favorite brands my Glam. The reason I like this brand a lot is the versatility of the products Plus where importantly that their products are all cruelty-free. When I say cruelty-free I am all in the products is not tested on animals. As a person, I am strictly against animal testing and animal quality in any kind of form. A lot of time I am more inclined to buy vegan products than any other brand which might use any product that might be produced following animal cruelty and having animal ingredients in it.
Given the evolution and product development, I think animal testing is totally a redundant idea and should be banned totally.
Trial Tuesday with Ekta
If you're following me on YouTube you would have seen my section called Chal Tuesday/Thursday wearing where are you wherein I always try and feature an interesting make a product, especially in the make-up category. I have received a lot of love from you for the same.
This week I have tried a very interesting contouring palate from my gloves my blog my Glam. The palate is called "chisel it" and it has three products namely a blusher, highlighter, and bronzer. This small kit comes with a Nice and sturdy mirror.
There are two shades for this palette and I have picked the shade called poker face.
As per the child Tuesday/trial Thursday ritual this time I have tried this product palette on the camera and demonstrated a quick look using the same. For ease of understanding, I have filmed a video wherein I have mentioned few important details about the product, it's packaging, Pricing, Utility, and more. I have also tried this palette on the camera. I'm done with quick contouring using the products from this palette. What I liked about this palette
1) the form factor wherein I get three products boxed into one. All the three products are quite complementing and supplementing in nature
2) cruelty-free Beauty of course
3) the palate comes with a good study mirror
4) color payoff is quite nice
5) The highlighter is outstanding
6) All the ingredients and other important information like expiry date et cetera are clearly given/Written on the box itself.
7) Travel-friendly
What I think would have been better
1) Inclusion of a makeup brush or a basic puff applicator.
2) More affordable pricing
3) An option for a cream base formula for those who are interested.
This palette retails at rupees 1250.
Haute Kutir Verdict: Like I said I like the concept, and even the product. The product is jolly good and well pigmented and can be easily used for regular make-up. The product will definitely is medium and that is a good part especially when you want to avoid an overdone blusher. This palette is quite suitable for medium to fair skin tone. So if the cost is not a concern and the colors or something you find will suit your skin tone, then go for it.

Transfer Your Files Between Apple Devices
The new Macbook [Air/Pro] comes with two C-type ports hence eliminating all ports of your regular USB, Micro SSD, HDMI, and other slots. Strategy aside, this new development caused quite a heartburn and pocket burn for the loyal Apple users and even the new wannabes. As the Macbook prices further increased, the new processors made the intel processor more expensive and features shrank, several Macbook users like me felt the extra financial pinch to invest in additional cable/dock to enable file transfer.
How to Transfer the Files between 2 Apple Devices
Traditionally, the most prevalent way of transferring the files between the devices used to be-
1) Transfer Via iPhone Charger plugged in MacBook A Type Port
2) Transfer Via cloud [subjected to limited space and cost constraint]
3) Transfer via an external HDD that needs to be compatible with MacBook ports
Since the newer Macbooks do not have the usual A-type port any longer, you need to invest in an additional C-type port adaptor to get the above [except no 2] going, including for Android devices.
The cable/port adaptor cost starts from Rs 1000 and goes up to 9000 for any decent brand. Apple has its own branded adaptor starts from Rs 1900 which comes with one single USB port. If you want to buy one with more ports that you have to invest as high as 3500 plus for Apple-branded ones. Other approved brands like Anker, A-logic are no cheaper either.
If you are a hardcore Apple fan who uses multiple devices from the same co, then this challenge is mitigated for you. You can easily transfer the files from one Apple device to another in few simple clicks without using any cable/ software or port.

If you are using an Android handset, then you may like to check the "nearby share" feature. But it may not work for transfer between Apple and Android.
Conclusion
With the advent of smartphones, a lot of gadgets like watches, calendars, radio, etc became near obsolete. The idea is to have multi-utility derived from a single product/service. More like a wholesome approach.
So, when you have an in-built hassle-free feature like Airdrop, you need not invest in additional cables for file transfer at least. Notwithstanding your financial strength, the additional cable becomes messy unless required. Should you buy a 512GB laptop/device instead? Well, I would not recommend that unless you have a high technical/professional usage. I prefer hands-free and travel light. The whole idea of Bluetooth was to reduce the cables. So, when you have the feature, avail it.

This is another beautiful baby pink, flower print sharara set with silver gota work. This is subtle and can be worn to the office also and any festival also. The previous one had gold GOTA work and this one has silver. The dupatta is simply beautiful with this GOTA flower attached. The sharara and dupatta are of the same foil print n style. The fabric is most comfortable, soft, and pleasing to the eyes. This is from brand Ishin.
Another from Ishin, this is a beautiful cotton blue foil print kurta with golden gota work. The bottom is palazzo style and can be styled with another top or kurta. This one looks quite festive due to the gold foil design print n the yolk work on the kurta. It came without a dupatta but has a very comfortable fit and fall to it.
Outfit no 4
This 3 piece off-white and golden suit set from BIBA is my forever favorite style with a pant, a kurta, and a jacket. I love jackets and that's the reason I picked this one instantly. The size however is a little clinging and I may exchange it for a bigger size. These ones are like slip-in and forget kind of dresses that should be part of every wardrobe.

I was an avid gamer. I think I started early in the 80s- 90s when the world [Indian subcontinent] was just waking up to Nintendo, I finished almost all the levels in Super Mario Bros, a game that became quite popular in the 90s. By that time I tried different games on Nintendo, blowing away much money on expensive trunk calls to bring the new game cassettes from Raipur to my small town in Surguja. I remember how weary I got of the game by the time my peers started playing. Naah! I think I met the right people at right time and had quite an early mover advantage. And maybe gradually got weary too soon.
Nevertheless, I also played board games during my growing years and they ranged from Ludo to some I do not even remember the names. However, it used to be much fun and skill-building.
So years after when I got a chance to a reunion with open of my childhood fav activities, I was initially hest=itant and felt the pressure however once on the terrain, it was much fun and surprisingly, I made few new friends to play with.
Suddenly I was exposed to a world full of games. There were more than 200 varieties of board games with many enthusiasts. We had a cafe full of gamers but that changed when we moved cities. Initially, I was reluctant to play games online [of course Farmville was a different ball-game read addiction] all together and candy crush/ Matchington was less of online]
Recently I have started playing on Boardgames arena, and my first choice of game was the easy-peasy splendor [my friends were playing and did the rules for me]. I was hooked initially but then realized I am too hooked. So, I totally discontinued then.
Now I am back on track and as I feared, I am quite hooked.

Pedilanthus is one of the very easy grow plants. It can be grown with a cutting also. It is a foliage plant with great decor value. It is often used in landscaping and is quite a pocket-friendly option for the same. It is also known as Devil's backbone.
I have propagated and grown this plant with a simple cutting. And I was really amazed by the results. I have made a video on the same. You can check my video to know more.

One word of caution: The plant releases a white sap when being cut or so. the sap may be toxic so wash your hands after coming in contact.
Ingestion can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Eye contact with sap is likely to cause pain and redness. Also, this plant is not very pet and child friendly. It is TOXIC for dogs. So, keep them at the bay.
